Want to take a moment to say THANK YOU to all the people who've been supporting mymind over these years. We're a small independent team with strong opinions and big dreams. Building this product for you (and ourselves) has been a pleasure. Since we launched in 2019 many things have changed drastically on the web but we're as excited as ever for the future. We're currently focusing a lot of our time on foundational things (new API, MCP, Integrations etc.) as well as our upcoming new offline first native apps. Seriously can't wait to show you all the new things we have planned, we have some really weird and unique (in the best way possible) features coming up that I am personally most excited about. Onwards & keep taking care of your mind, believe me you'll thank yourself in the future for it 🧡

The new DESK is live! For over 15+ years I've been writing, reflections on design, psychology and building products. Over those years I published close to 1000 articles. Today I'm re-launching DESK as a personal archive of these essays, with the goal to keep writing till the very last day. Why the re-design? The old design felt too magazine like, too much like a publication that was trying to be something that it's not. It was holding me back to be more myself. The new design is more personal, more like an archive or register of all my essays. There are currently 688 essays accessible on the new DESK, many more still hidden and coming in the next couple days. I hope you like it (:

Today we improved how you create a new note. Our philosophy hasn't changed. Most notes, especially in the beginning are short. Often they are a passing thought, like something you'd put on a sticky note. And that's why new notes should always feel instant and effortless to take. So we gently expanded on the new note field when clicking into it, giving you just enough room but without that heavy feeling of creating a document. Easy to go in, and easy to get out. But the nice part is: If your thoughts turn into something larger as you type, you can always flow right into Focus Mode (CMD+F), which is a beautifully simple and distraction free space to keep writing. It's now LIVE on both our web app and MacOS app. Enjoy!
