Frontex has released new images of the refugee ship that sank off the coast of Greece. The time frame in which the images of the ship were recorded shows that the ship was under Frontex surveillance hours before it sank. The Greek Coast Guard is also being informed. Another person is missing along Greece’s northern border. Taner Balat went missing in Orestiada, Greece on October 9. Greek officials state there is no record of the 23-year old Turkish citizen anywhere in the country. But member of Balat’s family were permitted to record on their phones the CCTV video from inside the Orestiada bus station that show Balat buying a bus ticket. With Moira Lavelle. I filmed the general strike in Athens from many different streets and from many different angles. For 4 years I have been following the street mobilisation in Athens and I can say that this is the biggest crowd I have ever seen. There are anti-government slogans all over the streets of the city.
