I've been thinking about Feroz Khan's alleged depression and PTSD diagnosis, which is why he says he can't testify at the Madlanga Commission. It's such a blatantly cynical exploitation of a legitimate illness that many of us actually suffer with - and still have to work through. My take below. . Forgive me if this is a bit dated, shot last week and only getting up now. 😅

David Mabuza, our former deputy president who passed on Thursday, was allegedly connected to massive corruption in Mpumalanga, a province plagued by the assassination of whistle blowers. I know because I experienced some of it first hand. My story 👇🏿 Read more in Ferial Haffajee's excellent obit here: #ANC #CyrilRamaphosa #SApolitics #Politics

WATCH: Ya'll are being played. March & March thankfully didn't cause too much damage. But at what cost? R600m to safeguard the country, which could have been better spent. And all of those obsessed with migrants taking their eye of the big news of whose really exploiting us this week... the Tony Leon, Jacob Zuma and Gupta news flying under the radar. #SouthAfrica #marchandmarch My take:

The whistle blowers are proving corruption runs across race lines... but so does those willing to do the right thing even when it costs them. My take on Drushantha Ramsamy, Andrea Johnson, Feroz Khan and the so-called Indian Cabal in South Africa. #madlangacommissionofinquiry #madlangacommission

John Steenhuisen may have fallen from grace in the DA after key screwups, losing both his leadership role and ministerial position in a matter of months. But he's been treated with kid gloves compared to the brutal way black leaders in the party were treated for far less, and given such a soft landing. The double standards are grating. Some thoughts 👇🏾

The ANC chose the high road by not blowing up the GNU and I'm grateful. Ousting the DA would have been bad for the economy, whether you like them or not. What just happened at Luthuli House demonstrated real maturity and will hopefully shape the future of our coalition government for the better. Here’s what happened and why it matters. 🇿🇦⚖️🗳️ #Budget2025 #CoalitionPolitics #FikileMbalula #SAnews #Ramaphosa #Mashatile

Jacob Zuma's MK Party just keeps delivering the comedic goods. In a move that absolutely no one saw coming (sarcasm) party members are saying 11 - 40 million rand has vanished from party coffers! Given the calibre of people in this party, no one should be surprised. Most of the top leaders were linked to the state capture era in some ways, and funnelled money to the Gupta family. #jacobzuma #mk #mkparty #umkhontowesizwe #news24 #brianmolefe #statecapture #floydshivambu #eff #southafrica #politics #anc #elections #dalimpofu #news #currentaffairs

South Africa's ambassador to the US, Ebrahim Rasool has just been kicked out by Twitter edict, thanks to US secretary of state Marco Rubio, the same guy who tweeted he won't be coming to the G20 in SA later this year because we're doing very bad things like standing up for equality and sustainability. Why's Rubio so fixated on punching down on us? My theory: he's conscience is torturing him and we're a convenient punching bag. I find it utterly hilarious that the MK party SG didn't even KNOW how much power Dudu Zuma held even after she resigned as MP last year. She had the ability to send and remove MK MPs from parliament. This party is so chaotic it's wild. Dudu and Nhlamula Ndlela's expulsion has less to do with the death of their friend MP Muzi Ntshingila and more to do with the political manoeuverings in the Jacob Zuma's fiefdom parading as a political party. 📍WATCH: I spoke to someone senior at DTI who is no DA fan, but said Andrew Whitfield was smart and a nice guy. Why fire him and not the disastrous Nobuhle Nkabane at Higher Education? 🤷🏿♀️ Cyril Ramaphosa's shock axing of the DA deputy minister in the department of trade and industry, Andrew Whitfield, is such a bad idea on the face of it. It'll throw the DA and ANC partnership in the GNU into disarray AGAIN, an instability the country cannot afford again. The political gossip is this was over an unsanctioned trip to try to mend fences with the Trump administration in his capacity as a DA leader. This really doesn't seem like an issue to take such drastic action over. Watch my first take:
