#Vikings QB Kyler Murray on the toughest part of adjusting to Minnesota’s offense: “Having to split reps, me already being behind, not getting the amount of reps you would typically want a guy to get learning the offense, that’s probably the toughest part.”

Former #Cardinals GM Steve Keim, the one who drafted Kyler Murray, says he used to call him “the angry elf.” Keim said he needs to play on time and operating effectively from the pocket to help the offense operate: “Kevin O’Connell and Kyler Murray should give Brian Flores a bonus like he’s never seen before.” (Via Inside Football)

“There was a time where statistically you try to hunt those big plays and they help you win, and they do, explosives are huge factors for winning games. But I think staying committed to running the football, playing a type of offensive football where we do protect it… we’re trying to make sure we are setting the stage and take for our team to play four quarters and find a way to win.” #Vikings HC Kevin O’Connell, via Pat McAfee

#Vikings HC Kevin O’Connell on JJ McCarthy: “We tried to do everything we could… I do think he did develop and grow… but at the same time, you’re always gonna look inward. Circumstances, they are what they were and are, but what could we have done different.”

#Vikings QB JJ McCarthy says he flips a switch on game day, and calls it “nine.” “Nine comes out and I gotta understand he can’t be at his peak performance throughout three and a half hours. So, how do I find little ways on the sideline to get back to my breath, get back to my visualization that can maintain that intense competitive stamina throughout the whole game. It’s the pure will, determination to get the job done.”

#Vikings WR Justin Jefferson on not showing his frustration to the media last year: “Knowing the circumstances, I pretty much have a rookie QB pretty much listening to anything that goes on. Anything that I say will hit the media. It’s just all about staying in the building. Obviously talking to him, about the difficulty and negativity that was going throughout the season. Checking on him after the game, ‘You good, you straight? Don’t worry about this past game. Lean more towards the future.’ Those talks that we had didn’t need to be said in the media.” (Via Bent Outta Shape)
