28 Founder’s Days… and a Journey filled with Hope and New Beginnings. From Angels of Sun for children and Taare Zameen Par for specially abled to INIFT and Surya Kiran for rural empowerment. From our World Class Skill Centres in Delhi, Amritsar, Ludhiana, Pahuwind and Patiala, to Nirmal Chaya for Tihar inmates and Krishna Kutir for elder women and skilling for drug de-addiction and rehabilitation patients in Punjab. Guided by the cause of humanity — through medical aid during COVID, support during calamities like floods, and rescue missions from Afghanistan and Libya, alongside Mission Hope for Oman. Each step carried a dream. Each effort touched a life. Today, as we train 5,000 youth annually, our hearts remain set on a larger purpose — to skill and place 10,000 youth every year. I strongly urge the Punjab Government CMOPb to ensure suitable employment opportunities for the 2600 ITI-qualified apprentices who have successfully completed their apprenticeship training in spirit of National Apprenticeship act . These young men and women invested time in acquiring skills and gaining hands-on experience with the legitimate expectation that their training would translate into meaningful career opportunities. what incentive remains for our youth to pursue apprenticeship programmes The concerns of these apprentices must be addressed through dialogue, sensitivity, and constructive engagement—not force. As a commitment to supporting skilled youth, Sun Foundation India will extend assistance in facilitating job opportunities for these candidates in private sector Punjab's youth are not asking for charity; they are asking for a fair opportunity. The Skill Development Centre of Excellence, Faridkot, was inaugurated today by Hon’ble Governor of Punjab Shri Gulab Chand Kataria Ji, marking the beginning of a transformative initiative to empower youth through industry-relevant skill training. The Centre will offer courses in Assistant Beauty Therapist, Fashion Designer, Warehouse Management, Digital Mitra, General Duty Assistant (Junior Nurse), and Customer Care Executive, equipping trainees with practical skills and pathways to sustainable employment. As the doors open, a new chapter begins for the youth of Faridkot, helping them build successful careers and contribute meaningfully to Punjab’s growth and progress. A heart-wrenching video of the 19-year-old student #Pallavi from Himachal Pradesh who died after being ragged and harassed has emerged, in which she speaks about repeated instances of sexual assault by a professor in her college. The teenager, a student of the Government Degree College in Dharamshala, died on December 26 . Today marks a historic step towards restoring the sanctity of India’s examination system through institutional reforms with the passage of the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Amendment Bill, 2026 in Parliament. Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji and the Government have implemented zero-tolerance approach against paper leaks, cheating mafias and examination fraud. With stringent punishment, fast-track enforcement and stronger safeguards against technology-enabled malpractice, this law will protect the dreams of millions of students and strengthen faith in our education system. Infact Hon'ble PM was deeply concerned about stress of exams on students and have been interacting in the past Every honest student deserves a fair opportunity, and this legislation is a significant step in that direction.
