Dating apps and porn have fudged the most basic male instinct: the approach. Men are no longer approaching women at cafes, clubs, events. Japan is sexually stunted in strange ways. Barged into a girls bar yesterday. It’s roughly a place where men buy women drinks by the hour and pay for their company. First, the manager told us it was closed. But then this man in the video fought for us to remain in the bar. He bought us drinks and kept trying to make very drunken conversation. We didn’t pay a single penny. Kinda sad but this girl in the video openly dismissed this guy’s attempts to call her his girlfriend. And before the dude would figure that we were abusing his drunken grace and getting more drinks and laughter, we bounced. There were others like him in the bar. They would pay these hostesses per hour just to smile at them and talk to them. No sex. Just endless talking. They’ve productised the entire hierarchy of male-female interactions. Supply and demand. I’ve seen nothing like it.

I went to the October 7 massacre site in Israel. I posted a video of it online. Hundreds of Indian accounts that had never set foot in Israel or Palestine attacked me. In this clip, reflects on the horrors of Pahalgam and 26/11. His synagogue is in Mumbai. The message is simple: Indians and Jews need to unite against radical Islamic terrorism. Else, history will keep repeating itself.

The stereotyping of North Indian Gujjars as brutish and trigger-happy is a result of: 1) no credible articulation of the Gujjar identity by Gujjars scholars and intellectuals 2) over-articulation of tribalism and groupthink by Gujjar dehaatis 3) forced stereotyping of AJGR communities by non-AJGR upper-caste urban folk who borrow this from dehaatis So, any Gujjar who excels in cerebral pursuits/escapes groupthink is either celebrated or has to find ways to transcend caste descriptors because he finds little acceptance among his dehaati counterparts. Our dumbest are the loudest. I don’t know the way out except for the rise of intellectualism among Gujjars and scholarship much like what Ambedkar and his successors did for the Dalits. I also could totally be wrong in my hypothesis. So feel free to comment on what you think about this.

I took Mounjaro and lost 10KGs. Confidence up. Feeling great. But it came at a cost. Emotional blunting. An inability to feel the highs and lows of life. Many will say its a small cost to pay. Works if you're obese or diabetic. Doesn't work otherwise. No scientific data to back this. But tons of anecdotal data. Been off it since March 10. Working out hard to not gain the weight back. Tomorrow, Ozempic (its competitor) becomes generic in India. 1300-5000 rupees for a monthly dose. Lakhs of people will take it. Just know what you're getting into.
