Onam Celebrations is rooted in Idiol worship > Onam has roots in Idiol worhipers religious mythology, particularly the story of King Mahabali & Vamana, an incarnation/form of Vishnu. > Idol worshippers believe that Vishnu granted King Mahabali permission to visit his people once every year. This annual homecoming is celebrated as Onam. > The story involves worship & devotion directed toward Hindu deities, which conflicts with the Islamic doctrine of Tawhid—worship belongs exclusively to Allah. > Vishnu is regarded as a deity in Hinduism, whereas Islam rejects attributing divinity to anyone besides Allah. > Religious rituals and traditions connected to Hindu mythology therefore conflict with Islamic beliefs if performed as acts of religious celebration or devotion. > Islam teaches that Allah alone is worthy of worship: “And your god is One God. There is no deity except Him, the Most Merciful, the Especially Merciful.” — Qur'an 2:163. > Islam also teaches Muslims not to participate in religious practices belonging to other faiths. When you participate in the celebrations of idol worshippers, you begin imitating their practices, like - Being Naachaniya infronts of Non-mehrams - Dancing infront of Idols/kings posters - Show respect and devotion to Some Kings/idiols and false God in so-called human incarnated forms. and eventually, there is no distinction left between Muslims and Kafirs. Therefore, Muslims should understand that these are cultural and religious customs of polytheists who believe in millions of gods, and should stay away from participating in another religion’s religious festivals. Muslim parents should know that this Sanatani education system claims to be secular but imposes and celebrates their idol-worship events like Diwali, Onam, Saraswati Puja, Surya Puja, etc., inside educational institutions, and so parents should keep their children home; otherwise, their Aqeedah and sense of Tawheed may get corrupted. Most importantly, Muslims should follow Al-Wala' wal-Bara': behave nicely with Kuffar but don't keep close association with them, as it can corrupt you... And this is the result: corruption and infidelity are taught and celebrated here 👇
