MP BJP leader Mahendra Nagar and his 14 aides surrounded a farmer Ram Swaroop Dhakad, ran him over by a thar while he was going to his field with his wife. The family, his daughter says when they tried to rescue Ram Swaroop the accused sat on the daughter, thrashed them and tore her clothes. Police have filed a case against Mahendra and his 14 aides.

A 21-year-old man, Ajit Baraya, from Mandla fell seriously ill on July 26. His father called an ambulance and specifically requested oxygen, saying Ajit was struggling to breathe. The ambulance arrived with an oxygen cylinder, but it was not administered. Ajit was first taken to a Primary Health Centre and then referred to Mandla District Hospital. During the transfer, in the same ambulance the medical staff finally put him on oxygen. About 3 km into the journey, the oxygen cylinder ran empty. Ajit gasped for breath in his parents' arms as the ambulance continued towards the district hospital. He died before reaching the hospital. His father alleged that his son would have survived if oxygen had been available throughout the journey.

The April 2025 attack in Pahalgam claimed 26 lives. Nazakat rescued 11 members of four families, including children, all from Chhattisgarh. Among them was the family of local BJP leader Amit Agrawal, who, along with his friends, welcomed Nazakat with firecrackers and garlands. The victim begged them to stop with folded hands but to no avail. 4 days ago, police had confiscated some liquor from the 22-year-old tribal who used to work at the dhaba managed by both Jitendra Chauhan and Jantu Raja.
