The Kukis have desecrated Mount Koubru, the divine abode of Mahadev and Lord Koubru on April 16th. They have placed a cross there while chanting Christian prayers. Mount Koubru is revered as the birthplace of human civilisation by the indigenous janajaatis of Manipur like Meiteis and Nagas. The Koubru Hills have been a pilgrimmage site for several dharmic faiths having more than 50 sacred sites for over 3000 years. This region is a site under government protection since 1968 for its immense religious, cultural, historical and sentimental value. This act is like placing a cross over Kedarnath, Badrinath, Amarnath or Mount Kailash after harrassing the Shivbhakts and purohits there. The Kukis have desecrated Thangjing Hill, the divine abode of Mahadev and Ibuthou Thangjing, for the second time on 30th November. They also erected a cross at this pilgrimage site of Hindus. Currently there is heavy exchange of gunfire going on at Ward Number 7 and 9 of Moreh. Moreh has become a hub of illegal immigrants and heavily armed Chin-Kuki terr0rists. One of the least reported #KukiAtrocities in Manipur have been their continuous blockades and extortion along the national highways, the lifelines of Imphal valley. Such crimes continue to happen in broad daylight (Refer Video 1). Such crimes have blocked essential supplies to more than 15 lakh people of the Imphal valley. Rampant extortion along these highways (Refer Fig 2) have increased the sufferings of people residing in Imphal Valley. By September, the prices of essential items had increased between 10 percent and 30 percent depending on the item. Fruit and fish had became 50 percent costlier compared to other states (Refer Fig 2) . All this burden is imposed upon a population who have been ruined economically and have to support tens of thousands of their fellow Bharatiyas in relief camps.
