This may be the most heartbreaking video you’ll see today. Boniface Mwangi shares, in raw and painful detail, the horror he endured at the hands of Tanzanian authorities. His voice trembles with the weight of what he lived through a story of cruelty, humiliation and injustice. No human being should ever be treated this way. The Tanzanian government must act not with silence or denial, but with truth and accountability. Those responsible must be held to account. #JusticeForBonifaceMwangi #JusticeForAgatherAtuhaire

"The era of silent diplomacy is over." Ahead of tomorrow's polls, documents reveal a systematic dismantling of democracy in Uganda. From polling stations placed inside military barracks to the "militarization" of the judiciary, the 2026 election is being labeled a sham. We stand in solidarity with the people of Uganda as they face state-sponsored terrorism and internet blackouts.

Boda boda rider Jack Deon Maloba, 23, was arrested Thursday evening at the Kawangware police post and died in the cells four hours later. Police claim suicide by T-shirt, but Maloba's family argues the neck wound suggests a wire and notes the alleged T-shirt was not with the body, casting doubt on the official narrative. VOCAL Africa demands an immediate, transparent investigation into the family's credible allegations of foul play, including evidence suggesting a wire was used.
