When Kamsi🧜♀️📷 began asking questions about Igbo culture, history and traditions, she discovered that many of the photographs documenting our people were taken by foreigners. That discovery inspired her to pick up a camera and tell our stories through our own eyes. This Iri Ji Festival, she will be showcasing pieces from that journey at our photo exhibition, a visual celebration of Igbo heritage, identity and memory. Governor Chukwuma Soludo has directed the removal of shops and structures obstructing pedestrian walkways at Onitsha Main Market as part of the ongoing rebuilding and redevelopment of the market to make room for a more organised market layout.
