The so-called 'war on woke' is really a war on inclusion. Delusional &amp; racist ideas are influencing perpetrators of violence &amp; denying people equality. We must see past these tactics of distraction. Multiculturalism isn't a threat: it's humanity's history &amp; beneficial to all.

Today, we mourn the victims of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda – over 1M lives lost in 100 days. Genocide has warning signs: deep discrimination, dehumanisation, incitement to hatred. States must prevent &amp; punish this horrific atrocity crime.

Appalled by horrendous events of past 48hrs in #Gaza. Killings of so many in schools-turned-shelters, amid fleeing of hundreds from Al-Shifa Hospital &amp; ongoing displacement in southern Gaza, wholly inconsistent with protection of civilians required under international law.

On International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, we mark 60 years of the Convention against racial discrimination. While progress has been made, racism remains pervasive. We must stand up for justice, challenge biases, and address systemic racism. #FightRacism

In #Rafah I was at the gates to what is a living nightmare in #Gaza. I feel, at my core, the pain and immense suffering of every person whose loved one has been killed. We must all feel this shared pain and end this nightmare.

On the International Day to Combat Islamophobia, we honour Muslims around the world who make our communities stronger &amp; richer. Our shared humanity rests on the dignity &amp; equality of every person. We must call out anti-Muslim hatred wherever we find it.

Racial discrimination, hate speech, and dehumanization continue to cause real pain to millions of people. We must stand with those who fight for justice, equality, and freedom for all. Together, let’s confront, call out, and #FightRacism, every time. ➡️

Confronting the past is essential to building a better future. Visiting the United Nations memorial to the victims of slavery was a reminder of the unspeakable harm inflicted by enslavement and colonialism. We need to #RememberSlavery, in order to erase its legacy.

Ending racial discrimination demands the political will to #FightRacism at all levels – including within our systems of global governance. Together, we must keep dismantling the barriers that hold people back. ➡️ My remarks to the United Nations General Assembly:

The ‘War on Drugs’ destroyed lives and damaged communities. Criminalisation and prohibition have failed to reduce drug use and deter drug-related crimes. We need new approaches prioritising health, dignity and inclusion, guided by the Int.Guidelines onHuman Rights &amp; Drug Policy.

Ahead of tomorrow’s High-Level Conference on Palestine—I urge all parties to put all possible pressure on #Israel to end the carnage in #Gaza &amp; work towards tangible progress on a two-State solution The world will judge this Conference on what it delivers
