Most people don't know what the Foreign Service actually does. These are the career diplomats who staff every U.S. embassy in the world. It used to be an esteemed institution, but over time, DEI infiltrated and we began testing on ideological alignment instead of American history and foreign policy. The State Department's new America First reforms are much needed. They restore a real written exam, training built around economic statecraft and strategic competition, and required reading from Washington, Kennan, and the Federalist Papers. It begins. Chevron has its first batch of Venezuelan oil processing 50,000 barrels a day. Americans get lower gas prices, our refineries get more business, our oil and gas workers get more jobs. And maybe most importantly Iran, Russia, and China are cut off.

On January 3rd, the United States captured Maduro and took operational control of the world's largest proven oil reserves. U.S. companies are now signing deals to develop Venezuela's Orinoco Belt. At home, domestic production is at record levels and climbing. Every barrel we produce or control is one less we need from OPEC. The less we depend on foreign oil cartels, the more leverage we hold over adversaries like China, Russia, and Iran whose economies run on energy exports we no longer need.

Spot on, Mayor Francis Suarez. Cuba and Cuban exiles in America are the perfect case study in why capitalism works and communism fails: "The per capita income of Cubans is $5,000/year. Of course in the Cuban diaspora and the exile community in Miami is a community that is thriving... we are prospering in a capitalistic system while Cubans are living in the dark ages essentially."
