Trevor Ariza and Tony Allen both pick Dwyane Wade over James Harden because Harden can’t sacrifice to win a championship: Ariza: “When we’re playing a team sport and a team aspect of the game — what D-Wade has done, you can’t argue with who you have to go with. You gotta go with the person who wins, the person who’s going to give everything at all times…” Allen: “D-Wade won as a star and he won while passing the keys. They call it Wade County — you know how much ego you have to drop to say ‘this ain’t Wade County no more’ you see the sacrifice? I gotta give him his flowers for that.” (Out the Mud)

Patrick Beverley on witnessing Miami Heat LeBron James in practice: “We got the body fat thing today…that MF (LeBron) probably weigh like 240-250…this is him leaving Cleveland first, he (LeBron) stepped on that scale and it said 271…like what the f*ck is this, this MF 271…we got upstairs…LeBron and Coach Spo working out, I’m trying to look at everything. Bron shooting that b*tch, it goes in and out, he shooting it — in and out…he was like ‘give me the ball’ he (LeBron) grabbed the ball and dunked it BOOM! Dunked it again BOOM! Dunked it again BOOM!…oh my god I go home and tell all the homies ‘yea he different, he different’…” (via Out The Mud Podcast)

Bam says he could’ve scored 100 points because he got 83 points on a bad shooting night: “I had 83 on a bad shooting night…I would’ve passed Wilt…I think it can be done…it just has to be a good day for you…most of our starters were out…people don’t realize we had just lost to the Utah Jazz…people miss that part of our season…we were losing to teams who were actively trying to lose…after the 1Q — my teammate then Kel’el Ware was like ‘you might get 80 bro, you got 30 in the first’…the (Wizards) coach might start doubling and he never did…people were like ‘you shot 43 free throws’ if you actually watch the game and not the last minute and a half…I got fouled the whole game…”

Giannis says the Miami weather is helping his joints recover faster and says Heat Culture is insane: “I’m enjoying the weather — it’s good for my joints. I go to the gym and I don’t even stretch…when I wake up I feel it…it’s a HUGE difference. “They’re (Heat Culture) insane. I don’t think I ever ran this much in my life — like nobody is cheating, everybody works hard — not just the players but the staff. Everybody works hard…” (🎥Thanalysis Show)

Brian Windhorst on Giannis performance last night: "If you watched this game last night as a Heat fan -- you had to be on the edge of your seat and thrilled...his ability to dominate end to end of the court...it's easy to forget what kind of force this guy is -- he has been AWESOME in the preseason, absolutely awesome -- his numbers look great...he's playing with a lot of passion..."

Patrick Beverley’s reaction to seeing LeBron James and Chris Bosh join Miami to form the BIG 3👀 “ESPN — I made a decision to go to the Miami Heat, LeBron James. Chris Bosh. I’m like ‘what is going on?’ I get a call ‘boy you about to play with LeBron James’…they got the jersey popping in Miami…next thing you know Mike Miller come in there, Eddie House come in there…Udonis is there, Carlos Arroyo is there…I’m like ‘what is going on right now bro?’…Pat Riley put me with Udonis Haslem…LeBron’s right hand man Ramos, he called me saying ‘Bron like you a lot, he remember you from his camp…I’m about to give you his number’…boom I call him and put that b*tch on speaker…he (Bron) was like ‘Yo Pat Bev nice to meet you…’” (via Out The Mud Podcast)

Klay Thompson said Bam kept him in check during training camp today: “Today was hard I can’t lie to you — it was exhausting but I expected that. I missed a couple boxouts and Bam kind of lit me up — I love that. We hold each other accountable, we take this real serious. It’s a practice in September but Bam wants to win every drill and so does Giannis — I just love being around that energy…I’m very grateful to be here.” Klay was smiling at the end, he missed this type of winning environment.

Giannis on his first impressions of Erik Spoelstra: “I think he’s a great coach…amazing human being — I’m excited to play for him. I had a very different perception of him when I was on the other team, I felt like he was very tough and maybe borderline like an a**hole but nah he’s very supportive, caring, honest…he fills you up with confidence…he stays out of your way — he doesn’t really want to bother you…he’s so respectful and that’s why he’s been with the same team for like 21 years.” (🎥Thanalysis Show)

Bam says he wanted to fight Erik Spoelstra during his rookie year: “I hated Spo when I first got here. Hated the man…he would question me throughout practice, we would be doing a drill and he (Spo) would be like ‘Rook you heard that?’…I remember going home ready to really fight this man…it’s because he challenged me…I decided to start going into his office and start bothering him…literally go in there and be like ‘coach how’s your day?’ Like nothing related to basketball…and I would just get up and leave…that’s my guy…the year before I got there they went 11-30 in the first half and 2nd half of the season they went 30-11…he’s done what some people get COTY for…”

Coach Spo responds to Dwyane Wade saying there’s no buzz in the city: “Dwyane said there's not a buzz about the Heat. We feel a certain way about that. Dwyane is one of our own, so I love you, Dwyane, but that serves as motivation to all of us. More so to Bam than probably anyone, and Tyler." (via Naveen Ganglani)

Bam Adebayo responds to Dwyane Wade saying there’s no buzz in Miami: "First of all this man talking about no buzz and he wants to be out. He 45. Take your ass to the house! Idk what he's tryna to do, rile us up, he gotta understand we went through COVID, this a different time. All that said, a lot of buzz tonight, not only here, but in the association." Giannis with PRAISE for Davion Mitchell: “He’s incredible and he’s tough to keep up with. He goes so fast — you see the difference when Ryan comes into the game and Davion is out — our pace kind of slows down. Obviously Ryan is young and it’s his first year in the league but we have to keep on that pace, like that pace is dangerous — people don’t want to come in this gym and play with that pace — I didn’t want to come in this gym and play with that pace…I love playing with him (Davion)…whenever I don’t touch the ball…he’s always going to check in with me and make sure I get a touch…” (🎥Brendan Tobin YT)

Never forget when Paul Pierce claimed he was better than Dwyane Wade and Jalen Rose fired back with this😭 “He’s made All-NBA First Team twice — Paul hasn’t done it. He made All-NBA eight times to your four. He’s made All-Defensive Team three times to your zero. He’s won one scoring title — you weren’t able to win a scoring title. He has three rings. You have one ring.”

Nikola Jovic said his motivation went down after getting his contract extension: “It changed in a way where I felt like it’s something I wanted so bad then it happened — my motivation actually went a little bit down which is weird because you would think like ‘hey everything is better’ but mentally I was actually down a little bit after that… (via Brendan Tobin YT)
