They are somewhat reminiscent of the armor on Czech and Slovak versions of the T-72, but in this case, the explosive reactive armor blocks overlap. You can also see that the driver's seat, in the "neckline," has been reinforced. We can praise the crew's decision, and we will monitor how this solution performs. Perhaps these solutions will migrate to factory-produced tanks (although on the new T-80BVM, neckline protection is partially addressed, but apparently not on a large scale).

When the windshields were shattered, the driver opened the hatch and continued moving, clearing mines, until the vehicle completely stalled. The crew took a week to crawl back. Everyone received the Order of Courage.
