Over the weekend, with support from Nepal Scouts, a truckload of WCK kitchen supplies arrived at a school in Rasuwa, Nepal—and getting it there took five hours to travel just 7 miles. That's what access looks like in the hardest-hit areas after this week's devastating floods. WCK is setting up a kitchen at the school to prepare meals as close as possible to the families who need them most. And we won't stop; as soon as the truck returned to Kathmandu, it was loaded with equipment for another kitchen. #ChefsForNepal

Sandwiches — or the local equivalent — are one of the first things we carry into a disaster zone. We never go into a community without food to offer while we listen to what people need. These are made with sriracha, cheese, meat, and pickles: portable, and suited to the local palate. Chef Oli is checking in from Caracas, base of WCK operations in Venezuela. As part of the second wave of WCK staff to reach the affected area, he's building on years of relationships that make rapid response possible. The partnerships, local connections, and volunteer networks established in 2019, 2022, and 2024 allowed us to begin serving meals immediately after the earthquakes. In times of disaster, hunger doesn't wait—and neither do our staff, partners, or volunteers. Together, we're getting fresh meals to the communities that need them most. #ChefsForVenezuela

WCK partner Caracas Cow is serving up burgers and choripanes—a beloved regional favorite of grilled sausage tucked into a fresh roll—to families and rescue crews. At the same time, our teams are rapidly scaling production at our new field kitchen. Together, with dozens of local partners, we've now served more than 130,000 meals since June 24.
