John, one of the first from WCK to reach Garden Grove, reports from the field on how we're supporting families evacuated during a chemical emergency near GKN Aerospace. Families living in what authorities are calling a potential 'blast zone' need meal support—and we're on the ground with our community partners to make sure no one goes hungry. 🍽️ #ChefsForCalifornia

WCK water tanks, capable of delivering up to 100,000 gallons of potable water per day, have arrived in Asheville, NC. Infrastructure damage from Hurricane Helene has created an acute water shortage in the area, so these trucks will provide desperately needed drinking water for impacted communities. #ChefsForNorthCarolina

In the wake of the Mount Mayon eruption in the Philippines, communities are being impacted by ashfall—volcanic debris that blankets and damages the land. WCK's #ChefsForPhilippines teams are working side by side with trusted partners on the ground so that families surrounded by ashfall can access food while roadways are blocked and crops have withered.

This rice was grown in Haiti, processed in Haiti, and today it will feed Haitian families displaced by violence. WCK purchases rice directly from local farmers—supporting their livelihoods while nourishing the communities that need it most. As conditions in Ukrainian frontline cities remain challenging, many families don't have consistent access to gas stoves and other cooking supplies they need to cook. That's why WCK is bringing the stoves to them with our cooking kits, each of which includes a gas stove, gas canisters, and a fire extinguisher. With these tools, Ukrainian families can once again taste the comforting flavor of a home-cooked meal, serving dignity during difficult times. #ChefsForUkraine

A little girl in a shelter in Lebanon told WCK Chef Corps member Aline she was craving Kibbeh Labanieh. "Can you make it," she asked, "like you're my mom?" So Aline did. Spiced meat and pine seeds from the forests of southern Lebanon, hand-rolled and fried, served over rice in a warm yogurt sauce with coriander and garlic. A dish that takes time—because some things are worth taking time for. This Mother's Day, we're thinking of every mother displaced from her home, every child craving a taste of normal, and every person who shows up to cook with love when it matters most. Try Aline's recipe for Kibbeh Labanieh at home: #ChefsForMidEast #MothersDay

Hillside communities in western Jamaica were among the hardest hit by Hurricane Melissa, and ongoing heavy rain continues to make access difficult. WCK teams are using every means available—by land and air—to ensure nourishing meals reach anyone in need. In Bluefields, Belmont, and Mearnsville, we delivered 1,200 meals, including to families sheltering in what remains of a primary school. Together with our local partners, we’ll keep cooking for these communities and many others across the hardest-hit parishes. #ChefsForJamaica
