Gender Troublemakers by Jeanne B and Xanthra Phillipa, some other Canadian filmmakers with a home video camera and a desire to depict some raw transsexuality on-screen. Glimpse this sublime t4t scene shot in 1993.

My biggest pet peeve as a trans filmmaker and cinephile is the suppression of our history in the medium. Trans cinema has been around forever and there is a beautiful and essential lineage to work like what I'm doing in my new movie. Look at this SOV flick from THIRTY YEARS AGO!

I want more movies that explore the beauty and resilience of transsexuals. Unafraid of prickly discourse and with an awareness that every trans experience is unique and worthy ~ and cinematic. Happy Pride! 🏳️‍⚧️
