With everyone gathered, the inaugural Invictus Spirit Awards officially get underway, bringing the Invictus Community together for an evening celebrating the people whose courage, commitment and contribution continue to shape the Movement.

Happy 12th anniversary to the #InvictusGames that began it all. The Invictus Games London 2014 turns 12 today, and we love looking back at an event filled with so many iconic moments, when the city of London came together to support the Invictus Community at such a pivotal moment. The Invictus Games are about Changing Lives and Saving Lives through the power of sport, and we are honoured to continue that work today, using sport and adventurous challenge to support recovery and rehabilitation for wounded, injured and sick service personnel and veterans. On #WorldSuicidePreventionDay, we also remember members of our community we have lost over the years, while recognising the impact that sport, connection and the Invictus Spirit can have on those who are struggling. #WSPD26

The camaraderie and sense of community at the Invictus Games is unlike any other sporting event. Every competitor can bring up to two friends or family members with them, who are welcomed as part of the Invictus Community and supported throughout the Games. Because recovery doesn’t happen alone. It happens together. We are grateful to have Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex, our Founder and Patron, continuing to support the Invictus Community and the people at the heart of the Movement. A special message from Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex, Patron of the Invictus Games Foundation, for Scott Meenagh ahead of the #MilanoCortina2026 Paralympic Games. Scott represented the UK at the inaugural Invictus Games London 2014, and went on to compete again at Orlando 2016 and Toronto 2017. Last night, he had the honour of being selected as Team GB’s flag bearer at the Opening Ceremony. We’re wishing Scott the very best as he begins his Paralympic journey.
