“Some People” is a 1962 drama film about biker gangs in Bristol. As well as providing an insight into the city and youth culture of the 60s, it also features a rare onscreen example of the “Bristol L” (listen carefully when the chap says “I’ve got an idea” early on in this clip)

The song “I’d Like to Teach the World to Sing” was written by Roger Cook and Roger Greenaway in their small Park Street studio. Both were born in Fishponds, Bristol. Originally named “True Love and Apple Pie” it was later rewritten and featured in an iconic 1971 Coca Cola advert.
