Personally, I will miss mashing X to run in Rockstar games. It felt unique and deliberate. I know it's annoying to some people, but for me it was a small part of the immersion. Like prompting your character to kick up each leg in rhythm.

In the Witcher 3, If you choose not to hunt the basilisk as part of the quest "Mutual of Beauclair's Wild Kingdom", you can later find it flying around it's nest and it won't attack. To me, this proves the caretaker was right and the beast really is peaceful when not provoked.

The Witcher 3 has a quest about a mage who buys a tower pre-owned and gets locked out of it by DRM (Defense Regulatory Magicon). Geralt must help the mage find GOG (Gottfried's Omni-opening Grimoire) to remove the DRM and allow him access to his new tower. Insanely relevant.

It's surreal to see The Witcher 3 looking like this. Songs of the Past is clearly the same game we all know and love, but with truly modern lighting, textures, and cinematic framing. It's amazing what CDPR and Fool's Theory are able to do with this 11 year old game.

I outsmarted the Witch of Lynx Crag and got the best ending without giving her a lock of Geralt's hair. Never trust a witch. When I found the Knight's remains on the way to her hut, I figured I could break the curse on my own. It was also worth it to reveal to Daphne that Gareth wasn't faithful, for she sees that the true pure-hearted knight was the one who loved her fable and wished to see her free.

My wife and I have dabbled with Lord of the Rings: War in the North co-op. It's simple enough for her to have fun with (she's not a gamer), and it's a welcome change of pace for me. Not much depth, but the game has a very distinct 2000s ARPG feel that I love.

Found this quest in Skellige where you get ambushed by a group of monsters all working together. It ended up being a great illustration of Geralt's morality when it comes to killing sentient beings and protecting the innocent. The Witcher 3 never ceases to surprise me.

This is only a small moment from The Witcher 3, but it's yet another example of how these characters view Ciri and how the games and books treat her. There are constant remarks about Ciri being a Witcher, or wanting to be a Witcher, or being raised as one. If Ciri becoming a Witcher was a surprise to you, or if it didn't feel like the best and most obvious direction forward for the franchise, I just think you weren't paying attention.

I think it's unlikely to ever happen, but Ciri's ability to teleport to other worlds is ripe with crossover potential. Cyberpunk being the biggest example, but I'm also curious about this city she mentions with tall dark-skinned people. At any rate, it's great for theories.
