Orlev - 2 companions per mission - worthwhile romances - time dilation is crucial to some choices Impressions from this weekend's extended gameplay reveal seem very strong. Exodus has been and remains one of my most anticipated games of 2027. It's been too long since we've had RPGs like this one.

If I was Beethoven & Dinosaur I would be shocked that people are complaining about the rewind feature in Mixtape. Isn't this just good design for this type of game? You can't seriously tell me you'd rather have to reload after a Game Over screen for this.

This tense moment of dialogue made me realize that Kingdom Come: Deliverance is the video game version of films like Braveheart and Gladiator. I previously did not understand the appeal of a grounded historical RPG with no fantasy elements, but now I definitely do.

Anyone who says Mixtape isn't a game might just not like narrative-driven adventure games, which is fine. It's not about fail states, choices, or obstacles, it's an interactive curated experience meant to make you feel something. Mixtape is good because it accomplishes that.

This conversation between Kreia and Mandalore in Knights of the Old Republic II is one of the best scenes in any video game. The way Kreia draws out the mighty Mandalore's fears and insecurities just by telling him the truth... How she predicts the future of his people in a way that cleverly points to Boba Fett... It's great writing. Star Wars might have peaked here.
