The Solo is taking some pulling this year and using 30 ish litres of fuel a hectare (2.47 acres) but doing a cracking job. Soil is 55% clay, 30% silt. After a few weeks of the weather working its magic, next machine in will be planting wheat for next harvest.

Looks familiar? Thanks to the Environment Agency, it should be. This same farm flooded in 2019 and was under water for 2 months. No compensation for Henry Ward then and nothing this time. The EA listen to environmentalists and not farmers. The wildlife is always their argument but will be dead now. 🤷‍♂️

With the changes we’re making to the farm, this will be the last time we establish crops with our own machinery. I’ve had a great week with 90% of the wheat in the ground. The Freeflow drill has gone a treat. October drilling is for Champions!!
