🚨 HAPPENING NOW: There is recent unrest in the environs surrounding the Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO). According to reports, an attack occurred this evening where villagers were attacked along the ihiagwa/Eziobodo route. One of the victims who was attacked alongside his son identified the attackers as Fulani Herdsmen. He luckily escaped but his son had machete wound on his head. Students of FUTO who resides in Eziobodo have been unsettled and on the run in the last 1 hour. Meanwhile, security operatives in a voice note have warned that students should make sure they shut their doors and become highly security conscious tonight and beyond. This is happening after a series of kidnapping incident along the Owerri West region in the past 2 weeks.
