Shaq was the most swept player in playoff series history. He was gifted a future Top 5 player all time in Kobe while he was in his peak prime. But Shaq knew he wasn’t really a closer. Typically guards are the closers. And Kobe happened to be one of the greatest closers of all time. Kobe saved him more than just game 7 in Portland. Kobe is the reason Shaq has 3 rings with LA. WOW. COACH K saying Jordan is #1 and it many people are in that room and he mentions Kobe 2nd. Y’all gone have a heart attack when yall realize that some of the greatest basketball minds in the world have Jordan first, then Kobe and even others before they even think about LeBron. But here’s the thing, that’s no shade. LeBron is up there. But this idea that Kobe is no where near the top when so many NBA LEGENDS say Jordan-Kobe is so close and LeBron isn’t always up there with them Jordan/Kobe in their minds. And again, THATS OK. Because there’s some coaches who believe LeBron is #1 or believe Kobe is #3 behind LeBron. But the thing is, None of the great minds think Kobe is fringe top 10. This series ended the Kobe vs Duncan debate. Getting gentlemen swept by your rival with a good team should be unacceptable but for Duncan it’s swept under the rug when comparing the two. Kobe swept Duncan once and gentlemen swept him twice. Once was right here in front of everyone in 2008. No Shaq and his second option Gasol put up 13 PPG. Kobe finished the series 29PPG on 53% shooting while playing excellent defense. This ended the debate I’m sorry.

I gotta do it to this young man again. nick wright everytime you speak on this I will destroy your argument. Kobe just went to 3 straight Finals and B2B chips with players not nearly as good as Peak Wade. And just to ensure Lebron would make it easy to finally win his first chip, they added a Franchise player in Chris Bosh as a 3rd option. AND HE STILL FOLDED. Kobe was winning back to back FMVPs with Pau Gasol as his second option. And Lebron was losing the Finals with peak Wade and Bosh as a 3rd option. There’s no way in Hell Lebron was better than Kobe between 2008-2011. Because 2011 he proved he wasn’t even better than Dwayne Wade. Go home Nick Wright. Total BS. Kobe is ranked 10 or 11th all time Bill Simmons Tell me once when any player ever uttered “Kobe is my GOAT”. Name one player who stated “Duncan is the toughest to guard in the league”. Never been said once. But for Kobe, it’s said. “Duncan is our Jordan”. Never said about Duncan, but said about Kobe. Why don’t these people ever mention Duncan getting clapped up by Kobe in 2008? We’ll get there but There’s a host of other stuff to get into though 1st. Kobe not Top 10? Really? How, with this resume. And I’m not even going to mention everything: People leave Kobe off the top 5 list and it’s a shame because you claim to know ball. Let’s dig into this. People get on Kobe for winning with Shaq when you know good and well Kareem and Magic hasn’t done what Kobe has done. Kobe proved that he was an all time Top 5 legend by winning back to back Chips without a Top 75 Teammate POST SHAQ!! They said he couldn’t win without him and he DID, yet they you and the media still punish him. Kobe was already on pace to be a Top 15-20ish player had he never won anymore championships without Shaq because his talent demands that. But he did over and above that POST SHAQ. Kobe proved the “you can’t win without Shaq narrative” was a sham. Not only did he prove it wrong, he totally obliterate that stronghold the media put on his career. Kobe faced the toughest of competition, TORCHED his rival Tim Duncan, had an all time run from 08-10 that saw him outdual and beat the same teams in the finals that Lebron, his Co-Megastar of the league at the time, would lose to. Anytime anyone ask me why I talk about Lebron James Stans so much, I’ll send them this video. They don’t have to listen to it but here it is. Lebron James Stans ruined the conversations surrounding the NBA. Its no longer about appreciating ballers, it’s all about disparaging players to boost another. It’s a cancer and it’s destroying the love of the game. We’ve never seen anything like this as wide spread as this disease is nowadays. I’m tired of it.

He already had 3 chips by the age of 24. With 2 as a co-lead with Shaq leading the Lakers in assist and 4th quarter points in the playoffs during that 3-peat run. Went on to average almost 30PPG in the hardest decade to score in with the most athletic defenders and length to disrupt his ability but nothing could stop him. He then caused his rivals to team up together and form super teams just so they could catch him. But he’s never been caught by anyone who put on a jersey after 1996. He’s under-celebrated and hated on by the media and has been placed by the agenda based media as a fringe Top 10 player all time. Kobe won 2 championships with his 2nd option being Pau Gasol and his 3rd option being Odom in 2009 and Artest in 2010. Although these players gave good contributions, I’m not sure we’ve seen any megastar win more with less in a 3-year span. 3 straight trips to the Finals out of the West. Back to back chips with a good but not elite roster. Kobe doesn’t get enough credit for doing what nobody thought he could do which was win without Shaq. And he did it back to back.

ICEMAN 🥶 dropped but yet here I am addressing this gentlemen nick wright for hopefully the last time. There's no debate anymore. It's over. Lebron averaged 19.5PPG on 41/27/65 splits in 2 Finals between 2006 - 2011. Lebron at no point between 2006 - 2011 could be even close to Kobe Bryant with that type of output. Kobe by far the better player. Nick Wright needs to respond to this because it's looking bad right now. He opened up a can of worms over here. I does this and he's making it even easier than ever.
