🇺🇸🇨🇦 Greer this morning: no urgency. Canadians call when they want a deal. The United States is comfortable. LeBlanc’s answer: we’re not waiting by the phone either. That is the whole Canadian strategy for the past 18 months. Walk away back in August, summon the minister home, sell it as sovereignty then pretend the customer is the one who should be texting. Oshawa is cutting shifts. Volkswagen just kicked St. Thomas to 2029. A 25% tariff wall is up and 50% is on the calendar. And the Canadian minister responsible for the disaster is doing pressers about how he is not checking his messages. That ought to be comforting to Canadian workers. You do not win a trade war by leaving the table and then bragging that you are not waiting for a callback when the U.S. is cutting deals and slowly replacing your products.
