Handmade Hero has spawned careers. It inspired Billy Basso who went to make ANIMAL WELL. It influenced Vjekoslav Krajačić to venture into unknown and start his business around File Pilot. , gingerBill, and many others attribute to this series a major influence on how they program. Handmade Hero is a publicly (!) available series of Casey Muratori streams where he programs a complex game project from scratch. He showcased how to use tools like the debugger, how to understand and inspect memory, and offered tons of invaluable info on how to develop and maintain a huge program. You can follow this course for ~30 (out of 700!) episodes and become a supercharged programmer. While your colleagues will be fighting over names for a variable, you will be confidently delivering features. When your friends will be making ridiculous statements about performance of the code, you will not rely on second-hand programming dogmas, but will be able to inspect it and address it. When for others, language SDK will be the lowest level they can operate on, you will confidently understand OS primitives and it will become your platform. Here's a conversation with Casey Muratori about Handmade Hero. There is a lot of unexpected turns here! Casey, it was an honour! Thank you, both for taking the time to come to the show and talk about the series, but also for making it in the first place! It was a monumental effort to keep it up every day for years!

Sometimes you meet a person who knows a lot, and you're taken aback. But rarely do you get the opportunity to talk to a mind like Mārtiņš Možeiko. Mārtiņš can tell you about hundreds of obscure OS API calls, but he can also tell you about *undocumented* ones he found out by trying things out. What? To top that he's low key, easy-going, not chasing the spotlight and casually helping out thousands of people, sharing his immense knowledge, answering questions for free on all sorts of forums. Wow :) Enjoy the talk!

The legendary debate on C with @ryanjfleury and gingerBill! This was so much fun! There is lots to take away from this discussion, Ryan (RAD debugger) and Bill (Odin lang) have wealth of experience in low level programming and they share it here! Gentlemen, this was an honour! Thank you both for doing it!

Here is anton mikhailov walking me through a Dreams-like State Management known by many names and using couple of concepts (intrusive lists, slot maps, fat struct) I had no idea, that by putting pointers into elements, you can make everything be running based off an array, preserving parent-child, and sibling relationships! It was illuminating! We coined yet another term, Large Arrays of Things™. Do NOT confuse this with Entity Component System! anton mikhailov thank you!
