share my opinion on this "bro-zone" moment, this was ziyu's first time in his life rehearsing an nc scene as a /bottom/, in front of an entire crew. no matter the professional environment under the director's supervision this was an embarrassing position to be in for him as his first time, making him prone to be shy and panic that leads to his habit of "saying whatever comes to mind". so when txn did that motion playfully bc of the kind of scene they were rehearsing, zy panics here and says they're just "bros". but because of these contextual factors, this statement doesn't hold any significant value that indicates he was pretending to friend-zone him. zy did strategically play hard to get at times to test leizi for security /because/ he was aware how he felt romantically about him and wanted that man but friendzoning was Not one of his ways to do that. for some moments, we shouldn't forget that characters are a thing and that the state of not caring if 20-30 people were watching you make out and be shameless with each other without reservation going ‘well, they’ve already seen us make out for the plot plenty’ is a thing that was only achieved as time passed.
