Industrial air pollution has been hiding a lot of global warming. Sulfur dioxide, largely from shipping fuels, has been cooling the earth, masking about 0.4°C of warming. A further 10 million tonnes of sulfur dioxide in the stratosphere could offset a degree of warming. If we ever want to live in space, we have to find a way to create earth-like levels of gravity in space. NASA actually had viable designs for artificial gravity space stations in the 1960s but the Apollo mission took up all the available resources.
