N13,000 WAHALA IN LAGOS HOSPITAL: VIRAL ALLEGATIONS MAKE HEADLINES but FACTS AND INVESTIGATIONS ESTABLISH THE TRUTH: UPDATE: A viral video shared by Tracka “as per one woman who had to leave her sick child and struggle to find cash because a Lagos General Hospital would not accept bank transfer or POS payment, forcing her to negotiate with a designated POS operator at an inflated charge (N600 to collect N13,000 before her child could receive attention” 2: INVESTIGATION by The HC Commissioner of LSMOH Prof. Akin Abayomi -(a): the hospital name is: Randle General Hospital. -(b): the patient is 21 years old as against 13, her mother, Mrs.Oshodi indicated. -(c): she (Oshodi) presented Hospital’s mother and Child Center on August 4, 2026. As an emergency case, she received life-saving emergency care under the comprehensive Emergency Obstetrics & Newborn care (CEmONC) AT NO COST to her family. -(d): again, AT NO COST to her family. 3: The patient was discharged on August 11,2026 after receiving emergency care valued at N75,950 free of charge 4: August 27, 2026, hospital provided N5000 for her. She did not pay-free 5: August 28, an additional N13,000 towards the subsequent investigations. She did not pay-free -(a): the two payments amounted to N18,000 from hospital fund, while she contributed N10,000 6: Total value of Govt assistance provided was N93,950. 7: WAHALA of N13,000: -(a): Mrs Oshodi having realized that N13,000 has already been paid on her behalf by the Hospital’s welfare fund. -(a): She requested refund bcos an NGO was reportedly not willing to cover the cost. 8: Hospital reaction: Social welfare payments COULD NOT BE RETURNED by POS in accordance with established protocol. -(a): In order words, payment would be refunded following due process so as to avoid corruption. 9: Observations: The woman failed to disclose that she had benefited from the same system: amount: N93,950. -(a): where is the NGO pls? When, it is social welfare that will process her refunds. -(b): The woman failed to inform the public that her child was not at any point denied of medical treatment. My 4TH VISIT TO THE ON GOING CONSTRUCTION OF THE ROMI-KARATUDU ROAD: Period: 2012- 2026 1: 2012 awarded by His Excellency, Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa, of blessed memory. 2: 15th August, 2025, the Gov of Kaduna, His Excellency, Sani uba performed the ground breaking and expanded the project to include more communities. -(a): project is designed to serve over 40,000 local residents. -(b): the reconstruction covers 7 specific township and adjoining roads. They are: Cemetery; Lusawa; Church street/School; Dokaje (Doka); Jema’a; Karatudu-Federal Housing road. 3: Back on site again to inspect the progress of work.
