Lisa Remillard says politically speaking Republicans are screwed. She basically says that Republicans will have to negotiate with Democrats on the Government shutdown. Why? Because in a couple weeks open enrollment will start for the Affordable Care Act coverage. If they don't do something soon about premiums; red States will soon face the consequences. She predicts it will cost Republicans the midterms. She says although Republicans hate the ACA it's a popular program, and most people who will directly be hit are red States. Lisa says that politically speaking Republicans will have to put their political hats on because they all know internally that they will lose next year. They have a decision to make, lose by a lot next year or negotiate with the Democrats on healthcare and potentially save them some seats.
