Calling all Bay Area whale watchers/enthusiasts! If you live in San Francisco, you don't have to go far to see whales... There has been a couple Gray whales hanging out and spouting right next to Crissy Field Beach the past few days🐳 Head on over today to try and see them!

Normally, storms travel over California from West to East OR move along the coast. But this week's storm is actually known as an 'inside slider', moving along the "inside" of the Sierra. Although the Bay Area won't be drenched, we might see some drizzle through Thursday! CBS News Bay Area

Watch me freak out over a cloud (it's pretty cool) on live television!!! These are called Kelvin-Helmholtz clouds, which literally look like an ocean wave trapped in the atmosphere. They are relatively rare and short-lived...so sorry, not sorry for the nerd out on air!! CBS News Bay Area

🥵RECORD WARMTH THIS MORNING: With a LOW temperature of 62°, it was downtown San Francisco's WARMEST February morning EVER recorded!! Did it feel warm to you?! I could barely sleep because it was so muggy! Luckily, humidity will go down as temperatures drop 5-10° into tomorrow.

HOW did the deadly Sierra avalanche happen? The 4-6+ feet that had fallen on steep slopes over the past 3 days was too heavy for a weak ice layer, meaning there wasn't enough friction holding the snow down. 50+ mph winds was enough to trigger slabs of snow to fracture and fall.
