Itamar Ben-Gvir is not an anomaly in Israeli society. Hell, he’s not even an anomaly in the Israeli cabinet. Here’s Israeli Transport Minister Miri Regev, also bragging about torturing the activists who tried to bring aid to Gaza. The entire barrel is rotten to the core.

This video of Israel’s latest war crime is being systematically suppressed by Twitter. I screen recorded the moment the platform removed 19 retweets from the post — evidence of Western war crimes being targeted by Elon’s algorithm. Minutes later, it removed 21 more retweets👇

Jesse Jackson’s 1984 DNC speech feels like something from a different planet. Demanding a new form of foreign policy “characterized by mutual respect, not by gunboat diplomacy and threats,” he calls to end the nuclear arms race and condemns the US decision to “mine the harbors of Nicaragua… to try to overthrow that government.” Jackson openly rejects the “moral disgrace” of America partnering with apartheid South Africa, noting the absurdity of Reagan condemning Nicaragua’s lack of elections while US officials “embrace military regimes [after] overthrowing democratic governments in Nigeria and Liberia and Ghana.” America, he says, “must play the game by one set of rules.” This clip gives you a sense of what he and his campaign represented: an uncompromising rejection of US militarism abroad and a bold New Deal style economic program at home to put the unemployed back to work rebuilding American infrastructure. Today, when the only political visions being offered are Trump’s naked gangster capitalism and diversity-tinged neoliberalism, he is sorely missed.
