This is factory campus of a battery company we visited today. It looked like a city in itself. The more fascinating part of this story is that the company started in 2021 with a background of traditional car dealers. Apart from capital, resourcefulness and infrastructure, one factor that drives these crazy journeys is the appetite of Chinese people to invest in R&D and Tech.

Motherson Factory is 10 km away from our factory. Event in one factory can't spark City wise disorder in few hours. Roads were sealed. Random people were pelting stone on factories. Gates were uprooted. Most of the people creating this chaos were not from factories that suffered losses.

When factories or new townships are built in China, mature trees are often transplanted and planted there. Provisions are also made for canals, lakes, and other water bodies around these developments. Within a few months, these areas begin to look green and habitable. India can adopt a similar approach. Instead of planting saplings and leaving them unattended, we can plant mature trees that provide immediate greenery and environmental benefits.

Ritesh, an electrical engineer from BIT Sindri, chose to pursue hardware engineering at a time when most graduates were moving toward software careers. He wanted to build products that can bring social impact. Two years back, he joined Inverted Energy and began working on next-generation E-rickshaw battery systems. He learned that batteries deployed in rural Bihar were facing some new challenges. To understand the root causes, he travelled to Bihar himself. He is now visiting dealers, interacting with field teams, and documenting electrical, mechanical, and structural issues to study the problems from the ground up and develop more robust solutions.

Something is interesting about all these four-wheelers. These are retrofitted vehicles powered by electric batteries, modified by Tadpole Projects. They're an impressive feat of engineering and also provide an interesting solution to the fate of 15-year-old vehicles in Delhi. :)
