In this clip, Shaykh Sulaymān al-Ruḥaylī clarifies an important point for those who are not performing Ḥajj on the Day of ʿArafah: Some people go to the mosques and remain there until sunset, busy in Duʿāʾ. However, to specifically intend staying in the mosque from Ẓuhr until Maghrib is not something prescribed, as the Prophet (peace be upon him) did not do that. What is legislated and recommended is to increase in Duʿāʾ throughout the day of ʿArafah, wherever a person may be. The focus should be on abundant supplication, not on fixing a specific form of staying in the masjid.

This is how Saudis treated the Syrians who escaped the wrath of Bashār al-Asad... I live in Saudi, and I can testify to the two videos below. Syrians were treated with respect and dignity. They weren't treated like refugees and placed in tents and refugee camps. They were welcomed by the Saudis, given normal accommodation, free medical care, free education, free Qurʾān classes, jobs, and so on.

Who is ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz al-Ṭarīfī in a Nutshell Shaykh Sulaymān al-Ruḥaylī: I state as a principle: if you see someone being praised and promoted by the partisans (Ḥizbiyyūn) as the 'Ḥāfiẓ', the 'Muḥaddith', the 'Faqīh', the 'Imām' — then know that he is a deviant. Like al-Daddū, al-Ṭarīfī, and al-ʿArifī — these individuals are deviants upon the methodology of the Ikhwān (Muslim Brotherhood), and they have deviations in ʿAqīdah and the Sharīʿah. Yet, you hear: 'The great Muḥaddith, he's memorised the six books.' So if you notice this kind of promotion coming from the partisans and today’s media, then know that there’s something going on behind the scenes.

NEW from Masjid Nabawī: Supplication for the Palestinians and against the Zioinists Don't believe the liars!!! This was at the start of our Fiqh lesson today with Sh Sulaymān Ar-Ruḥaylī Every Friday the Shaykh starts his lesson with abundant Ṣalāh and Salām upon the Prophet (peace be upon him). He supplicated for our brothers & sisters in Palestine, and he supplicated against the Zioinsts. In addition, after the Jumuʿah Khutbah today, the Imām of my local mosque in Madīnah also supplicated for the Ahl al-Sunnah of Palestine, Lebanon and Sudan, and he supplicated against the Yahūd. So don't believe the liars!!!

"Shaykh Muḥammad ibn Hādī al-Madkhalī is a true reflection of Shaykh Rabīʿ" Shaykh Muḥammad ibn Rabīʿ, the son of Shaykh Rabīʿ, said: ◽️Shaykh Muḥammad ibn Hādī al-Madkhalī is someone we regard as a true reflection of Shaykh Rabīʿ — may Allāh have mercy on him. ◽️Although I am the son of Shaykh Rabīʿ, Shaykh Muḥammad ibn Hādī resembles him more than I do — in character, methodology, and knowledge. May Allāh grant him continued success. I say this openly and with full conviction.

Wiping the face after Duʿāʾ is Bidʿah Shaykh Sulaymān al-Ruḥaylī 1. The Aḥādīth on wiping the face are weak. 2. Imām Al-Albānī says the different Aḥādīth and the different chains are too weak to support each other. 3. The chains of narrations are extremely weak. Some of the narrators are accused of lying and fabricating Aḥādīth. 4. When Imām Mālik was asked about a man who wipes his face after Duʿāʾ, he rebuked this and said that he has no knowledge of it. 5. Imām al-Nawawī says it's not recommended. 6. Al-ʿIzz bin ʿAbd al-Salām says that only an ignorant person does this. 7. This is worship and worship requires proof. There is no authentic proof for this worship. 8. Conclusion: wiping the face after Duʿāʾ is not legislated. Rather, it's an innovation.

NEW: Shaykh Sulaymān al-Ruḥaylī on How to Study Fiqh Properly "The spirit of Fiqh lies in understanding the evidences." A student of knowledge should not separate his study of Fiqh from its evidences — even if he is studying within a specific Maḏhab (school of thought) or a particular text from among the classical works. Striving to combine the understanding of the text with the understanding of the rulings, while also being diligent in learning the proofs and distinguishing the stronger opinion from the weaker, is the well-trodden path for the one who seeks knowledge in pursuit of Allāh’s pleasure and Paradise.

Shaykh Sulaymān al-Ruḥaylī leaving yesterday's ʿEid gathering It was a truly beneficial gathering with the Shaykh, filled with valuable advice on a range of important matters. It was also a great pleasure to meet brothers from different countries. I recorded parts of the gathering and will be sharing them soon, inshā’Allāh.

NEW: Important Advice to Maḏhab Fanatics by Shaykh Sulaymān al-Ruḥaylī 1. We study the fiqh that was known to the Companions, and known to the Tābiʿīn, and known to the Imāms. 2. We study fiqh that is connected to evidence and built upon proof. This is the legitimate Sharʿī fiqh—the fiqh whose practitioner is praised, whose action is commended, and which is true understanding of the religion of Allāh. 3. As for binding people to a single Maḏhab from which they may not depart, and obligating them to adhere to everything stated within it, then this is an innovation—an innovation that did not exist in the time of the Companions. Rather, the Companions used to forbid it. It did not exist in the time of the Tābiʿīn, nor in the time of the four Imāms. In fact, the four Imāms were united upon forbidding the sanctification of people’s statements; rather, matters are to be examined in light of their evidence. 4. It is authentically reported from the four Imāms that they said: "If the Ḥadīth is authentic, then it is my Maḏhab." 5. Evidence for this is that the students who were raised upon the teachings of the four Imāms did not sanctify the Imām's opinion; rather, they would sometimes differ with the Imām's opinion. Anyone with even minimal exposure to the books of jurisprudence will find this clear and evident. 6. The four Imāms did not teach their students to sanctify their opinions. Rather, they taught them to look to the evidence and to support the evidence. Whoever examines the books of the Maḏhabs will find this plainly evident. 7. If you look into the books of the Ḥanafīs, you will find that Muḥammad ibn al-Ḥasan sometimes differed with Abū Ḥanīfah, and that Abū Yusuf sometimes differed, and that Zufar sometimes differed. 8. If you look at the statements of ibn al-ʿArabī al-Malikī, and Ibn ʿAbd al-Barr, you will find this clearly evident. This is how Imām Mālik nurtured his students. Imām Mālik would sometimes not hold a particular view, but when a Ḥadīth reached him, he deemed it sound and adopted it. The same applies to al-Shāfiʿī when you look at his students, and likewise Imām Aḥmad. 9. The strict obligation to adhere to Maḏhabs in such a way that one may not depart from them only arose among the later scholars. We, in reality, do not condemn following a Maḏhab or affiliating oneself with a Maḏhab —this is a permissible matter according to what is well known among the scholars. Rather, what is blameworthy is fanaticism to Maḏhabs, and tying fiqh to Maḏhabs in such a way that one does not go beyond them and does not consider the evidence at all. Instead, issues are decided solely by the statements of the scholars of the Maḏhabs. 10. Following a Maḏhab, according to the scholars, if taken as a path to fiqh and not as fiqh itself, they do not condemn it. But if it is taken as the fiqh itself, and one restricts himself to it—indeed, even casting doubt upon what people know of rulings established upon evidence—then this is not permissible, and it is not the praiseworthy fiqh.

Al-Albānīs Prayer Book Imām ibn Bāz was asked about Al-Albānī's prayer book. He praised it saying, "It's good and beneficial". Shaykh Muḥammad Ādam al-Ithyūbī also praised it saying, "He has benefitted the Ummah [through this book]." So don't pay attentuon to the Jāhil Majhūl Maḏhab fanatic trying to cause Fitnah.

Faiṣal al-Jāsim: Jihād is ONLY the responsibility of the rulers In this clip, Faiṣal al-Jāsim says that Jihād is entrusted to the leaders and rulers by the CONSENSUS of the Muslims. Jihad is not the responsibility of the general public, nor even of the scholars — even if they are among the greatest scholars. The matter of Jihād is entrusted to the rulers; they are the ones who raise the banners, they are the ones who command Jihād, and they are the ones who command patience or restraint. No one is permitted to take initiative ahead of them, even if he is an Imām among the scholars of the Muslims. No one may raise a banner, command Jihād, or declare mobilization except the rulers and leaders — each according to the authority he holds over his territory. This point is more widely known than to even require mention. Were it not for the confusion spread by the people of innovation and misguidance on this issue, Muslims and students of knowledge would not need to bring it up. [End of Faiṣal al-Jāsim's speech]
