Thirty-four days before she reported to prison, Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes gave Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim access to document her every move. That turned into a three-year project, and A24 will release the resulting documentary this October.

Tonight at Gillette Stadium, Zach Bryan, one of the biggest country music artists in the world, wore a Free Palestine shirt onstage. Gillette Stadium is owned by Robert Kraft, who pushed Ed Sheeran and his promoter to drop Macklemore from his tour. Bryan isn’t just a major country artist. He is one of the biggest live draws in music, filling stadiums across the United States and in major cities around the world. Bryan served eight years on active duty in the US Navy and served overseas in Bahrain and Djibouti. Members of Bryan’s band also wore shirts supporting the Palestinian cause, including his drummer, who wore a jersey honoring the memory of Hind Rajab. Zach Bryan has a second show at Gillette Stadium tomorrow, Saturday night.

Ben Affleck says the day will come when someone can order up an episode of Succession with a plot they have in mind. He says that could create an extra revenue stream to replace lost DVD revenue. Affleck says AI isn’t going to end the film and TV business, but certain parts of the industry will be dramatically affected: “I wouldn’t like to be in the visual effects business. They’re in trouble because what costs a lot of money is now gonna cost a lot less….And maybe it shouldn’t take a thousand people to render something.” But he says the cost savings will mean more television programming, not less: “You might be able to get two seasons of House of the Dragon in a year instead of one.”

The White House is currently airing this video as an ad during commercial breaks on Fox News. It looks and sounds like a political spot and includes a disclaimer stating that it is paid for by the U.S. government. The soundtrack: as images of Trump flash across the screen, singer JMSN can be heard repeating, “Love me, love me,” over and over. The video combines Trump’s anti-communist message with rapid cuts of Trump, American flags, and military aircraft, alongside claims about tax cuts, manufacturing, and policing. It ends with the UFC’s Dana White saying: “He is the toughest, most resilient person that I’ve ever met, and nothing was going to stop him from fighting so hard for the country he loves.”

UPDATE An emotional Ed Sheeran admits that he made mistakes in the last week in handling the issue between venues and Macklemore. Sheeran says that he is “deeply worried about the idea that venues should pre-approve content with performers.” He acknowledges the October 7 attack on Israel and then goes on to say, “What is happening in Gaza is catastrophic and unjustifiable and disproportionate.” He adds, “The systemic injustice we’re seeing unfold in the West Bank cannot be overlooked.” Sheeran says that he is speaking to people to “make a contribution that helps victims of these terrible times” and that he is “listening and learning” because “I do not know enough.”

Militant Scientologist and former SNL cast member Chloe Fineman has just announced a collaboration with west elm, and it will surprise no one with half a brain to learn that for this project she has decided to team up with the design firm Pierce & Ward. Pierce & Ward is controlled by another militant Scientologist, Emily Ward, who is married to Giovanni Ribisi. The Ribisis are extremist Scientologists who are ruthless, even beyond Scientology’s normal standard of militancy. They are Jenna Elfman level of ruthless. The number of families and lives destroyed by the Ribisis while acting as enforcers for Scientology is too long to list on social media. Congratulations Chloe on this collaboration!

Over the past 24 hours, thousands of TikToks (at least) have been posted where people share how they just read Bin Laden’s infamous "Letter to America," in which he explained why he attacked the United States. The TikToks are from people of all ages, races, ethnicities, and backgrounds. Many of them say that reading the letter has opened their eyes, and they’ll never see geopolitical matters the same way again. Many of them — and I have watched a lot — say it has made them reevaluate their perspective on how what is often labeled as terrorism can be a legitimate form of resistance to a hostile power. This is not limited to TikTok; similar videos have been posted on other social media platforms. The Guardian had a copy of “Letter to America” posted, but once these TikToks went viral, the Guardian took it down, which has only led to more interest in the letter and conspiracies from TikTokers who say this is part of the media and the powers that control it trying to silence the truth.
