I told Congress they're killing poor kids in Gaza by buying bombs, and they're paying for it by kicking poor kids off Medicaid in the US. This was the authorities' response.

I planned to make an ice cream to memorialize and celebrate the life of Renee Goode. But after the murder of Alex Pretti this weekend, I didn't have it within me to make ice cream. It's clear that the murders of Renee and Alex AND the government's lies were not a mistake, but standard operating procedure. ICE must be defunded and disbanded.

.Magnum Ice Cream silenced Ben & Jerry’s for trying to make a flavor to support peace in Palestine. So guess what? I'm making it with your help! Here’s the flavor, created by Flavor Winner Laura Davis. There's still time to submit your package designs! #FreeBenAndJerrys

Jerry warned when he resigned a year ago, that Ben & Jerry’s had been silenced at the moment it was needed most. A year later, Trump’s assault on democracy has only escalated, from deploying paramilitary forces across the country and illegal killings in the Caribbean, to the genocide in Palestine and the war in Iran. And still, Ben & Jerry’s is unwilling to call Trump out by name. That is what Unilever/Magnum has done to Ben & Jerry's, a brand established with values and a purpose. They’ve ignored Jerry’s warning and proved his point. Unilever/Magnum is on course to destroy the Ben & Jerry’s brand. Join me to save Ben & Jerry's progressive social mission. #freebenandjerrys

In honor of Renee and Alex and all of those who were murdered by the masked militarized heavily armed thugs of ICE - I've made The Maxi Hearts of Minneapolis. The chunks are the hearts of Minneapolis. The base ice cream combines some favorite flavors of the immigrant community—coconut and passionfruit. This is not a Ben & Jerrys flavor, it’s Ben’s Best flavor. Because Ben & Jerry’s is also under a form of occupation and they’re not gonna say it, so I will: ICE is a masked lawless rogue para military force that is blatantly violating the constitution and trampling on our rights as US citizens. ICE must be defunded and disbanded. #ICEout #FreeBenAndJerrys

Last month, we launched a challenge to design and name a watermelon flavor for Palestine. Your response has been amazing. But did you catch Magnum Ice Cream response to the reports that they’d blocked Ben & Jerry’s from developing a flavor for a cease fire in Gaza. They told The Guardian it was “not the right time” to make the flavor. Back in 2024, thousands of civilians were being killed every day “Not the right time” ? Magnum Ice Cream says it will protect the Ben & Jerry’s social mission, but the cracks are showing. 🍉 Keep sending in your designs and names for the watermelon flavor 🍉 Share this post with the tags #FreeBenandJerrys and #JusticeforPalestine 🍉Tag Magnum Ice Cream to let them know we won’t be silenced

Wondering what’s been going on with Ben & Jerry’s and the Magnum Corporation? They’re illegally dismantling the independent board, they are preventing them from speaking out about Gaza, Trump and more. We’re asking them to sell to a group of social investors that support the values. #freebenandjerrys Learn more at

Great question from @Milliedrewgeorge and one I want to clear up: In 2000 Ben & Jerry’s was sold to Unilever as a publicly held corporation. Jerry and I did everything that we could to try to keep it independent, but SEC rules forced the board to make a decision to have the company sold because Unilever offered so much money for it. BUT there was a legally binding agreement that we negotiated that maintained the social mission. Now Magnum is violating that legally binding agreement. #freebenandjerrys

I talked with hasanabi about Up In Arms, a movement to decrease the wasteful Pentagon spending and give people what they really need, healthcare, education and childcare. War is NOT good business for the American people!

Here's the message the President should be delivering in the SOTU tonight: The Pentagon budget is a whopping TRILLION dollars. The budget is bloated. People need funding for childcare, education, housing and food, NOT UNNECESSARY WAR.
