i've always found it fascinating that ana uses different splits and take off legs for her switch leaps and tour jetes. very rare do any other gymnasts do this?

Especially with the straddle Pak being a C, I think the requirements to get Ezhova credit should be updated to - legs together on release - release both hands together - legs together & open hips during flight Either that, or bump the clearly more difficult layout Ezhova to E.

this lineup was absolutely INSANE on paper. what do you mean everyone was capable of an H equivalent first pass, I equivalent second pass, and a D+C pass third 😭

Thinking about the US ending on beam in Tokyo quals, Mykayla Skinner being their last routine because she was an individual, hitting the best routine of her life, people being like "what if her only final is... beam??", then 13.233 6.1/7.133 coming up as her score

Sharing this video of Denisa Golgota (4-5 years older than her teammates, likely not having any relationship with them until very recently, doesn't even train with the Deva group) encouraging Ana on bars like her life depended on it. No further comments!

and it's like every terrifying beam dismount i can think of RO + BHS should get 0.2 if BHS + BHS is 0.1

this routine being two per countried out of EF, second up in the team's lineup of 5, and all 5 placing in the top 12 was an insanely nasty flex of depth matched only by romania having to bench bulimar's floor in 2012 quals

i wonder if one reason RO BHS dismounts have gone extinct is having good enough technique to make the +0.1 worth it is becoming rarer and rarer interesting that people will add a BHS to anything for series bonus, but not try this
