It is stunning that the government cannot confidently say that it isn’t antisemitic to criticize Israel for documented violations of international law. The newly established council on rights and inclusion will get nowhere unless we get this clarity.

Why has Canada found it so difficult to move beyond statements in response to grave violations of international humanitarian law in Gaza? At the Senate Foreign Affairs Committee, former Canadian Ambassador to Israel, Jon Allen, offered his assessment.
