#YIXING’s speech in University of Harvard 221124 “To conclude, I’d like to share something about dreams. Today, standing here and sharing MPOP and my vision of ‘Winds from the East,’ I feel truly honoured. At 17, I chose my own path and missed out on the traditional route of attending university. This missing part of my education has always been a regret, so I’ve made it a point to read and study more whenever I have time in between work. Looking at all of you here today, I feel deeply inspired. You’re all shining so brightly, and I firmly believe your future will be nothing short of brilliant. As for me, I’ve taken one step at a time in pursuit of my dreams. If I couldn't achieve it in one year, I pushed for five years, and if five weren’t enough, I aimed for ten. This year marks my tenth year since debuting, and it feels like a brand new beginning. So, you see, even someone as small as me has managed to carve out a path driven by my passion for dreams. And with your brilliance, I’m certain you’ll achieve even greater things. I hope you all grow into amazing individuals who make a meaningful impact on the world and this era. Today's theme is ‘Winds from the East,’ and I believe that in the future, ‘the winds will also come from the youth.’ Dreams are the most intangible, yet the most real thing we can pursue. Standing here, I want to tell you that through hard work, you can make your dreams shine. If I can do it, so can you. That concludes my sharing. Thank you, everyone.”

H: Lay, since you don’t drink, what kind of girlfriend do you like? #LAY: I can accept all types, but there’s just one thing… she can’t have bad breath. H: You’re being that honest? LAY: Yes. This is really important. H: But what if she’s extremely beautiful, completely your ideal type, with a wonderful personality, but her breath is always a bit smelly? LAY: Then… shouldn’t I tell her? H: You think you could actually say that to her? LAY: “Shall we have some chewing gum? Together?” Not just the mouth, the overall smell. KAI: A nice fragrance is fine, right? LAY: A nice fragrance is fine. 👍🏻 H: (suddenly leans in close towards Yixing) LAY: (so shocked he bites his hand) 251129 Lay Zhang | Korea Variety Show “Sisters’ Tea Room” EP 3

#YIXING multilingual king 😍🤣 Yixing first spoke Korean to his English teacher, then realised something was off and turned to his Korean assistant, but he spoke Chinese. He paused then turned back to the English teacher and spoke Chinese again… still wrong, because he was supposed to be speaking English. He froze for a moment, then ended up blurting out all three languages at once. He bit his finger and his ears turned bright red AWWWWW 260427 Lay Zhang | INSTAGRAM LIVE

#YIXING said he recently underwent surgery for rhinitis. Today is the sixth day, and he’s recovering well, so there’s no need to worry, he’s heading back to work now. He joked that he used to breathe with only one nostril, but can now use both. Welcome to the “nostrils 2.0 era”!!! 😄 260113 Lay Zhang | DOUYIN LIVE

Just #YIXING casually communicating in sign language with someone he met while delivering food, and it just so happens to be a guy who’s going to attend his very first concert as a deaf person. I just love how everyone loves Yixing, and how Yixing truly deserves all that love🥹🥹🥹😭😭😭

#YIXING: I was trainee for four years, and what I remember most clearly is a phone call from my mum. The conversation went something like this: “I’m giving it everything I’ve got. Even if I can’t debut, I really have done my very best. Please don’t feel disappointed.” At that time, I truly had no idea whether I would be able to debut or not, but that’s what I told my mum on the phone, and she cried. All I remember after that is that I just kept practising endlessly, without thinking about anything else. My mum believed in me. 🥹🥹🥹

#YIXING couldn’t stop crying the moment he arrived at the entrance of the Bird’s Nest. YX: When I entered the Bird’s Nest, my emotions were very complicated. I don’t know why. The moment I arrived at the entrance of the Bird’s Nest, I just thought, oh my God. I don’t even know why, I just felt like crying. I really don’t know why. Lay Zhang WE ARE SO PROUD OF YOU, WE REALLY ARE 😭😭😭 我进来鸟巢的时候，我感情很复杂。不知道诶，反正就是到鸟巢门口的时候，我的妈呀。我也不知道为什么，我觉得我就想哭了。我也不知道为什么。

240327 Lay Zhang | Show It All Teaser S: I just want her to make others fall in love with her in the first second. YX: You're asking someone who has never been on stage before to be a sensation right away. You are expecting too much. Can you become a director on your first day? Tell me, can you become a director on your first day? I admire you if you can. You can't use the standards of a professional, like us who have been in the industry for over ten years, to demand perfection from someone who has just started their career. S: Our current goal is to let others like us, right? YX: Our goal is to take Chinese music to the world. Everyone, everyone is just a vector under this grand vision. If you think you want that one look that can captivate you, let me tell you, all the kids have it. But where is that look supposed to be, where is the camera positioned? Please tell me. Please tell me, program director, where you want that moment to be. What you want in that moment is just the program director's 0.0001 second. I can tell the kids, "Just focus on that camera, and at that moment, the shot will come." Tell me first, who does the program director listen to? If you say the program director listens to me, I'll hold a meeting with them. If the girl group can't give you that feeling of being "captivated," then it's my problem. #lay #yixing
