Punch got hurt in his right hand. The same monkey dragged Punch again, and his right hand got hurt 😡. These continuous attacks are not good for Punch. What if any major attacks happen in the future? What will they do after everything already happened? I don’t think this is normal or safe for Punch. Minor fights and dragging can be normal in monkey troop life, but repeated attacks on an already injured hand are still concerning for Japanese macaque. The mesh protects them from outside danger, but proper safety also depends on how the troop treats each other and how carefully the keepers monitor injuries, stress, and social conflicts.😟🤨🤨 #punch #ichikawazoomacaque

Punch eating nuts quietly around his Ora-mam 🥹, grooming her in between like he’s making sure his mom is okay and safe while checking around carefully. Punch was sleeping on a big monkey. I wonder how he convinces everyone to let him groom them or sleep on them. Even Sotomaru, Akira, and Atomaru can't seem to be harsh with Punch, which always amazes me. They're often strict with other monkeys—Akira even scolded a new baby recently for disturbing his sleep. 😒 Punch definitely expects extra pampering from everyone. I think this might be the same monkey that bullied Punch earlier today (5/24). The face looks the same in this video. Punch was playing with the rope with Momiage, then a big monkey came and tried to drag him away. Momiage tried to scare the bully off, but she stepped back out of fear. Still, Big appreciates her for taking a stand against the bully. Then a small monkey came and tried to warn the bully too. In the end, meanwhile Punch left the area to escape the attack. Really appreciate that small monkey even smaller than Momiage, but the bravest one 😪😪🫶🫶🫶 Such kind friends standing beside Punch. @ichikawazoo #punchmonkey
