Seeing manyyy non-Palestinians criticising palestinian artists trying to sound intellectual by throwing around terms like “orientalist” and “Western gaze” when so much of that criticism comes from an unwillingness to see us as people beyond our suffering and grief We enjoy music and art, we love to celebrate life, to live and love. Our culture is so much more than war, and Palestinian artists deserve to be seen as artists, not just as representations of our suffering
