We benchmarked the top models on our own coding tasks. The results: - GPT 5.6 Sol (high) won on performance - Grok 4.6 (high) was the runner-up - GLM 5.3 Flash won on cost at comparable quality All 50%+ cheaper than our previous default (Opus 5)

Agreed. It's why we've been building a command center in the Warp terminal so you don't need to learn tmux to manage agents. - All conversations are searchable from history - Close tabs and revisit later with session restore - Track both local and cloud agent runs

Here's my take on what a software factory really is This is my talk from AI.Engineer 🔜 SF Code Summit NYC, and I decided to record a version for everyone to watch on X. tl;dr - software engineering is becoming factory engineering, and there's new work (especially factory benchmarking) that engineers should start focusing on.

Software engineering is shifting to "factory engineering:" the focus isn't just on building the product, but improving throughput. One measure of factory efficiency is "human touches per pr." Over time you want to drive this down.

You should benchmark models against your own conversations to find the right one from a cost/performance perspective. Here's the benchmarking setup we use:

Switched to Claude Code for a week. I get the appeal... but man, I couldn't stop missing a proper GUI. Simple things like moving your cursor by clicking, multi-cursor, dropdowns, and scroll views are all just nicer to use. We deserve hi-fi coding agents

Introducing the Warp Agent CLI: A CLI coding agent that does what others can't. - Full access to Warp's auto routers and SOTA model selection - Full shell access (aka you can `cd` without closing your agent session) - Orchestration and cloud handoff capabilities

1 / Today we’re announcing the launch of Warp AI — AI that’s fully integrated with your terminal. Warp AI can explain console errors, suggest fixes, write scripts, or walk you through complex installations. No external tools needed. No context switching.

Warp's open-source contribution flow is backed by coding agents, with skills for triage, planning, coding, review, and verification. This lets contributors focus on ideas and direction. If you're curious how these agents work, here's a walkthrough of our contribution flow:

Working on a new way to orchestrate agents. - Agent makes a delegation plan with subagent tasks - Run subagents locally, or in Dockerized cloud environments - Subagents send and receive messages as they work Run /orchestrate or let the agent use the delegation tool. Wdyt?

Experimenting with custom auto routers for models in Warp. Configure with .yml, and describe what tasks should route to what model in plain english. This example routes frontend tasks to GLM 5.2 and complex architecture decisions to GPT 5.5 high. Wdyt?

I wanted to make it easier to trigger notifications in Warp whenever Claude Code finishes a task. So, I made a hook for that. Works with both desktop notifications and in-app notifications so you can manage multiple agents at once. Source in thread. Wdyt?
