Just learned something insane about Gorillaz “Clint Eastwood.” The main beat, piano riff, drums, even the bass came from a preset on a 1981 Suzuki Omnichord. Damon Albarn said they literally used the Rock 1 preset. A two hundred dollar toy instrument made a classic. 🤯

Turns out when you die, your Steam games do too. A guy asked Valve about passing his games to his family, and the answer came back in writing. "I regret to inform you that your Steam account cannot be transferred via a will."

Stay on old PS5 firmware hoping for a jailbreak? Sony just raised the price. No PSN sign-in without updating. Some new games won't launch either. The empire is striking back.

Sony just told PC players they're done getting the single player games. Within months, a tool appeared on GitHub that converts PS5 games into native PC programs. Last time Sony sued PlayStation-on-PC tech, Sony lost.

A guy bought a used Ryzen 5800X3D and got banned from Valorant on login. The previous owner cheated. The ban lives in the hardware. Then it spread to his motherboard and drives. Riot support's answer: nothing can be done.

A new bill would force three rules: you OWN games you buy, games must work offline after servers shut down, and you can resell them. The congressman's words: purchases have become "rentals disguised as sales." If you pay for it, you own it.

7-Zip has no company, no ads, and no donate button. One Russian programmer has maintained it alone since 1999. He refuses money and almost never speaks. Half the internet zips files through one hermit's hobby.

Nobody would pay $29 for WinRAR. So WinRAR made a $150 bag. It sold out. Someone asked why even use WinRAR. Official answer: "We have a bag."

Zelda Breath of the Wild is running on a PlayStation 5 in 4K. One developer with a GitHub page did what two companies never would. The clips look better than the Switch ever did.

Big tech is losing control, and they know it. Modders cracked the PS5 in two weeks. A solo dev is cloning Adobe's whole suite for free. Is it AI slop? Eh. Does anyone care? No. They just want big tech to lose. Which company should be scared next?

The FBI is asking Steam users to come forward. Multiple games on the store carried malware between 2024 and 2026, and one arrest is already made. 8,000 computers. The scam worked because nobody suspects a Steam download.

Someone got the PC version of GTA 5 running on an iPhone. Not streaming. The real thing. 66 FPS driving through the city, 80 everywhere else, matching a desktop graphics card. Apple won't allow the tool on the App Store.

A former Microsoft engineer rebuilt Notepad into 2.5 kilobytes. That’s smaller than the icon Microsoft uses for Notepad. It’s free, it’s on GitHub, and it opens the instant you tap it. Dave W Plummer you’re a legend! 👇
