just getting into boxing, recorded a bag session with with an event sensor and built a basic hit detection app. hoping to turn this into something that can be used to improve form and highlight mistakes. is there anything event sensors can't do???

event sensors are wild. they output asynchronous pixel change events rather than a global or rolling shutter dumping entire frames. this allows for a pseudo high frame rate (10k fps). going to see if i can track bullets in flight. will update soon.

the bird has landed. what an amazing morning! event sensors are great for bullets AND humming birds (not surprising)

nothing is hard about making software. it's actually so easy it's boring. data structures? algorithms? big o? can all be learned in a day. even a pathetic computer "science" grad can do it.

do you want to understand electrical resonance? just look at a pendulum, the differential equations for resonant frequency are identical in form. natural resonance is the frequency at which energy will slosh between a system's storage modes with max efficiency. in the pendulum, mass oscillates through space while energy is sloshing between gravitational potential energy and kinetic energy. in an LC tank, charge oscillates through the circuit while energy sloshes between the magnetic field (in the inductor) and the electric field (in the cap). full yt video i made on how electrical resonance is used in tesla coil in comments 👇
