Facebook Meta has held more than 600,000 USD (over six hundred thousand dollars) of my monetization earnings for one year. This started right after I posted videos supporting Pakistan during the India Pakistan war. From that day an unknown error appeared and Facebook Meta stopped replying to every support request. Now after one year when I checked the same payout account, more than half of the money has disappeared and only around 350,000 USD (three hundred and fifty thousand dollars) is showing. Zcash is rallying hard, but the more interesting story is inside the SEC filings, not the price chart. I went through the filings behind Grayscale Zcash Trust and there are a few details worth understanding before interpreting the move. ZCSH crossed $500M in AUM. AUM means Assets Under Management, the total market value of assets held by the product. It should not be confused with $500M of fresh investor cash entering Zcash. The filing also discloses an approximately $100M in kind investment from DCG International Investments involving 85,705 ZEC in exchange for ZCSH shares. DCG International Investments is a wholly owned subsidiary of Digital Currency Group, which is also the parent of Grayscale’s sponsor. An in kind investment simply means contributing the underlying asset instead of cash. There is nothing inherently unusual or illegal about this structure. The important point for an investor is understanding the composition of AUM rather than treating the headline number as fresh external demand. The filing separately reports more than $70M in cumulative inflows following the NYSE Arca listing. There is another detail worth reading. The SEC filed material discusses Zcash viewing keys, which allow transaction information to be selectively disclosed to auditors, counterparties or regulators without giving them the ability to spend the funds. That does not mean Zcash privacy is “broken.” It is part of the privacy architecture and matters when evaluating how privacy and regulatory compliance can coexist. Then look at the historical chart. ZEC traded at extraordinary prices above $4,000 around its 2016 launch when circulating supply was extremely limited. That historical print needs supply and liquidity context before anyone treats it as a meaningful previous valuation benchmark. Now come back to the current market. For me, the next question is not simply whether ZEC can go higher. I want to know what happens to spot volume, Open Interest, funding, liquidations and market structure as price approaches important levels. Open Interest tells us how much derivatives exposure remains open. Rising price combined with aggressively rising OI can indicate increasing leverage. Funding helps show which side of the perpetual market is becoming crowded. Around $1,300, I would therefore look for confirmation rather than blindly shorting a number. Rejection, weakening momentum, market structure, spot participation and derivatives positioning matter more than the fact that price has already rallied substantially. This is how I prefer to study any fast moving crypto asset. Catalyst first. Official filings second. Capital flows and market structure third. Chart last.
