Midlands State University (MSU) established a modified coal tar manufacturing plant in Zvishavane, Zimbabwe, to produce a cost-effective alternative to imported bitumen. US$11million was invested into the project. ZANU-PF Information and Publicity Director, Cde Farai Marapira, stated that the issue of succession will not be on the agenda at the upcoming ZANU-PF Conference scheduled to take place in Mutare from October 10 to 23, 2025. He clarified that matters concerning succession are exclusively reserved for discussion at the ZANU-PF Congress, which is set for 2027. Marapira emphasized that the topic of succession is not currently relevant within ZANU-PF structures or among its members.
