The governor of NJ assembled the State Police in response to recent violence from ICE against protestors. Instead of it being calmer. Tonight outside of Delaney Hall was the worst night for protestors. I can’t imagine what it is like inside.

29 degrees tonight. Black Lives Matter Paterson is out with hot meals, hot chocolate, blankets, coats, gloves, and rides to the warming center. Someone froze to death sleeping outside last night. Community care keeps people alive.

I was just sent this video. Delaney Hall. Local and state police. Not ICE. No amount of de-escalation training can stop police from being police.

Victoria Lee was a Korean American woman experiencing a mental health crisis. Her family called 911. Then called again to ask for an ambulance and not police. Police came anyway and shot and killer her. And the body camera is way worse.

When Khadim Thiam and his friends posted a TikTok trying matcha, they were hit with hate — for simply showing joy. So they kept going. Now OSB (One Strong Brotherhood) is breaking stereotypes and spreading Black Boy Joy with every new adventure. We love to see it!

Video of ICE in Passaic, NJ captured by security camera. It’s difficult to make out, but you can hear one say what sounds to be, “in the end they’re going to die.”

This is beyond terrible. Not only were multiple people injured after a drive by shooting. But Paterson police in NJ then assaulted someone trying to get to their injured brother. Punching in his face, pulling his hair so hard that he tears out his locs.

Police should never be allowed to be judge, jury and executioner. Paterson police being under state control has not stopped it from it being allowed to be a rogue police department where anything goes, and is excused or covered up.
