...well this is awkward

Not-Hotaro isn't beating the Gotchard allegations even when he's not in Kamen Rider

Kuuga's purple form might just have the best debut of a non-super/final form from the shows I've seen so far. With the 2 episodes worth of buildup stemming from the monster's strong projectiles, as well as a sweet moment with his sister, it makes for a hype worthy moment.

so I watched Mechanical Violater Hakaider with a couple friends

When you make gang signs without knowing what they actually mean

"I'm too strong for you, so I'll just use a stronger version of my weakest form"

Whenever I see any tokusatsu (or related) videos use generative AI (cough Ninja Kidz), I always look back at Mega64's In 5 Minutes series. They exemplify that you can make something good in live action without much money or even VFX.

Shoutout to the short VHS video that came with the first run of the DX Fire Dagwon. I didn't know until now that suits for Drill Geki and Thunder Rai were made, though.

This has got to be one of the best fights in the show so far. The crowd of civilians cheering on Dyna gave me a smile and the theme song playing when he assumes Strong Type had me singing along. Both even do the Cross Counter, it's really cool!

I NEED a fully transforming Deathfacer figure. I don't care if it has to cheat for several of its parts, it HAS to be possible with modern engineering. If a fully transforming Getter Robo is possible, a transforming Deathfacer is possible

One of Ultraseven's suit actors has been seeing my tweets so I want to shoutout the 1999 season's final battle. His performance sells Dan's uncertainty of if he really should kill Zabangi, now knowing he would be siding with invaders if he did.

Dyna Miracle is just like some Showa Ultramen where it's like "yeah he can just do that".

These guys were never meant to take over the Earth, they're just too silly

Dyna intentionally losing the fight against the giant ape so the ape can impress his crush is funny, yet really wholesome. He probably got extra points since Dyna was in his Strong Type. Congrats to the ape for being successful, too

The fight that ensures at the end is shot so well, especially when Dyna just punches straight through Deathfacer and throws it into the sky. I love giant hero tokusatsu.

WHERE'S HIS DEBUT ROLE HERE'S A REMINDER!

I don't have much to say about Episode 17, but I'm sorry but I can't with this scene 🤣

Hitting Dyna's balls AND chomping on his ass? That's brutal

I will never not be impressed at how TsuPro was able to pull off King Joe combining. Afaik it's the first combining robot too, even before Getter Robo came out. I am happy to own its SMP knowing how influential it would be

COMBINE! TRI-KAISER!

Mai ultimately saves the day thanks to building up confidence and her reinforcement of being a Super GUTS member made me smile. Miracle Type is also overpowered, as usual

ULTRA HIGH? More like ULTRA HYPE
