This morning, we woke up to a very distressing & disturbing video of how Meitei Men paraded 2 Kuki-Zo women n@ked & later r@ped them in the field. Prior to the incident of this case, there were fake news which was circulated by the Meiteis accusing Kuki men of r@p*ng Meitei Women which were later proven as fake & baseless. Because of such fake news they themselves circulated, demonic sexual assaults were committed on the Kuki-Zo women by the Meitei Men which they don't even take accountability for until this day! This is Edison(Armstrong) Moirangthem, who on 4th May, without any proof shamelessly & confidently claimed that Meitei Women were r@ped by Kuki Men. This is just another evidence of how these people go about creating fake news, take actions based on those fake news & caused irreparable damage to the society. Irrespective of which ethnicity or which tribe a person belongs to, any sane person would be logical enough to be against these lies & it's consequences. I'm just speechless of how a person can lie so blatantly out of hatred!! The events that have transpired since May 3rd in Manipur have been unimaginably dreadful. It's difficult to put into words how we can possibly move forward. We've witnessed oppressions, arsons, killings, looting, sexu@l assaults, hatred everywhere. On May 4th, a video of Meitei Women instructing sexu@l assaults of a Kuki-Zo woman to their sons circulated (1st clip). On July 2nd, David Thiek Hmar was beheaded & butchered by Meitei Men, his decapitated head hung on a fence! Later, image appears wherein the murderer, without any guilt, comfortably held our brother David'a severed head (as shown in the last slide). Not even a month passed since David was brutally killed & while the Kuki-Zo are still mourning over the death of our Pasaltha David Thiek Hmar, a video of Meitei Men parading n@ked & m0lesting 2 Kuki-Zo Women surfaced. This is such a cruel world we are living in! How can we possibly live with the people who hate us enough to instruct assaults, to kill us in the most barbaric way & who doesn't respect & value the chastity of women? Would it be even fair to the victims? Even if & only IF we are to want to "wish" we could still live together, the reality is too harsh & grim. LIES! LIES! LIES! & MORE LIES This MEITEI MBBS Student - THOKCHOM MANGAL from Churachandpur Medical College had stated that their phones were taken away from them & they didn't feel safe either. The TRUTH is, as the #ManipurViolence erupted in May, the Kuki-Zo community safely let the Meitei students go in a peaceful manner & the evidence of how no phones were taken & they peacefully left the College Campus could be seen in the later part of this video. Note : On the other hand, Kuki-Zo students from Manipur University in Imphal were man-hunt to be harmed! This is the community we, the Kuki-Zo are dealing with. This speech of an individual, reportedly from the World Meitei Council, expressing their negative feelings of jealousy towards the Kuki-Zo holding prominent positions in administration, be it the SC, Banking Sector or Intelligence Bureau is deeply unsettling. He pointed out how Meiteis can take to their advantage the 37/ 60 Meitei MLAs in the legislative assemblage to choke the Kuki-Zo in further developing as a community. We, the Kuki-Zo, achieved our positions through education & hardwork. His own manufactured truth bring to bear the position they enjoy for decades on quotas & reservations through their status as a Scheduled Caste & OBCs. All major educational & Medical Institutions are located in Imphal. A certain so-called peace-loving community, too insecure with their existence, is going about trying to destroy anything that has a linkage with the Kuki_Zo community. 📍Khopijang | A video captured by a man, likely one of the people involved in vandalizing/burning of the village including a church in Khopijang, pausing to watch the scene without any shame or guilt. He took a deep breath and mockingly exclaimed how the Meiteis had set blaze the village & raised the Salai taret flag on top of the destructed church in contempt. Raising the Salai Taret Flag on destructed churches is another pathetic tactic often carried out. This unquestionably violates human rights & ridicules a different religion within democratic India. In the meantime, the Salai Taret flag has found its way onto not just one, but multiple accounts of usage by Meitei Footballers in their matches.
