Don’t take the bat into the red. Send it there. There’s a big difference. So, I have always had a problem with down and back behind for a barrel cue. I’ve always felt that it makes hitter stuck and uphill. That’s not what I’m promoting here. The energy is created next to the back shoulder so the space is not behind, it’s to the side. So it may feel like you’re swinging out toward the first base dugout, but the body is turning sideways to home plate and taking the barrel forward. #hittingtalk

Ball was hit hard, good result. But not sustainable. Arms and bat out in front of his turn. He once had the arms and bat next to him. Lost that move, needs to find that again. Exit velo numbers mean nothing if it’s not consistent and if the move isn’t right.

If a hitter dominates the bat with the arms and the hands. Take the hands & arms out of it. Loosely make them one piece (one hand on top of the other). Allow the body to align and pull properly. Low effort, so the hitter doesn’t muscle up. #hittingtalk
